I find that it is the pink dress of the girl that makes this picture special. If the dress had been gray for example, the girl on the swing would not attract the viewers attention. The bright pink against a green background makes the girl stand out. This photograph was inspired by William Eggleston, a photographer that gave a great importance to color. I've tried to do the same.
I really like the splash of pink and how the little girl is not facing the camera - in fact she's turning around. I love the way the pole of the swing cuts the photo in half diagonally.
